FAQ

Q. Where is the competition held?

Hills Centenary Park, Commercial Road, Rouse Hill.

Q. What does it cost to play?

A.

Juniors (8years-17years) $110 incGST, Seniors (18years+) $120 incGST.
This cost includes your playing jersey and GAP cover insurance whilst playing.

Q. What nights are the competitions on?

A.

Season Info can be found here

Q. My child wants to play with his friend. Can they be in the same team?

A.

Sure, either form a team or register both as individuals. On the registration form, write down the name of the other player in the supplied area and we will do our best to ensure this happens. We have a system that when a player registers as an individual they appear as available to all team managers in your age group. So they can be invited to play in their team if they are short players. So please ensure your friend does not accept an invitation unless you are invited as well. We will then attempt to place you both in an existing team or into a newly formed team. If you have more than 1 friend that you'd like to play with, we suggest you form a team with one of your parents managing the team, this will guarantee you all play together.

Q. How old does my child have to be to play?

A.

The age groups are 8-9 years old, 10-11 years old, 12-13 years old and 14-16 years old. So the youngest player should be 8 years old. Also note they must play in the age bracket they are turning this year. ie. 8, 9 this year to play in the 8-9s, 12 or 13 to play in the 12-13s etc. You can form a team in the 8-9s age group consiting of any mix of 8 or 9 year olds. Any person found to be playing over aged, their team will forfeit all points for the season.

Q. My daughter would like to play touch football. Do you have any girl teams?

A.

Yes, we have 10-11s, 12-13s, 14-15s and 16+ all female only comps. Girls are also welcome to be apart of any of the composite competitions (a mixture of boys and girls).

Q. When does the season start and finish?

A.

Full season starts 8th of September for Juniors and 9th of September for Seniors

  • Rounds 1-10 September 8th/9th until 17th/18th November 2025
  • Semi Finals November 24th and 25th 2025
  • Grand Finals December 1st and 2nd, 2025

Q. How many in a team?

A.

6 a side. Plus 4-6 substitutes that can change at anytime during the game.

Q. What are your refund policies?

A.

Our refund policy states that a refund may only be applied 4 weeks from competition start date. Refund will not be in full if your playing shirt and/or shorts have been printed. You will of course still be able to keep your playing shirt and/or shorts. Please check our terms and conditions https://ramstouch.com.au/system/files/document/rego_tcs1_0.pdf

Q. What are the rules?

A.

The rules are very similar to Rugby League but with the tackles being replaced with touches.

The aim of touch football is to score tries by not getting touched by the opposition's team within 6 attempts, and placing the ball down in the try zone to accumulate points. The team finishing with the higher point score is determined the winner.

Each team can have up to 12 players (we recommend 10), with a maximum of six on the field at any time. Each team has unlimited substitutions. The game lasts 45 minutes, divided into two - 20 minutes halves and a five minute half-time break.

Q. How are points allocated for wins etc?

A.

• 3 points for a win

• 1 for a loss

• 2 for a draw

• 3 for a bye

• 3 for a forfeit win

• -1 for a forfeit loss

• 5-0 score for a forfeit win

• A forfeit is constituted by a team not having with 4 players or more by the time the hooter starts the game. For mixed this is a maximum of 3 men and 1 woman or 4 women. The game can still be played if both teams agree, but the later team will still have a -1 recorded on the table and a 5-0 score against them.

Q. What happens if the game is a draw?

A.

In a normal round, 2 points each is allocated. When a finals match is drawn, a drop off game will occur. Each team will recommence the drop off period with 4 players, defending the same end of the field as at the end of play. Senior mixed teams must reduce to 2 females and 2 males. The drop off commences with a tap off at half way by the team that did not commence the match with possession. The game will commence with a 3 minute period of extra time. Whichever team leading at the expiration of the 3 minute period of extra time then that team will be declared the winner and the match complete. Should neither team be leading when a siren at the expiration of 3 minutes is sounded, the match will pause at the next touch or dead ball. Each team will then remove another player from the field of play. The game will recommence immediately after the players have left the field at thesame place where it paused (i.e. the team retains possession at the designated number of touches). The game will continue until a try is scored, the first team to score will be declared the winner. All normal substitution rules apply.
